Samsung DLP Televisions

Samsung DLP televisions offer superior HD picture quality at cheap prices.

Samsung DLP televisions are a fantastic alternative to Samsung plasma TVs and add a high quality big screen viewing experience to your room.  The problem with most flat panel televisions is that they are overly expensive.  Most of that price is you paying for the right to have a stylish and modern television, and that just doesn’t seem fair.  But DLP televisions allow you to get a high quality big screen, at a reasonable and affordable price.  Plus, a DLP TV set will be much, much cheaper than a flat screen of the same size.  So if you were prepared to buy a flat panel with an inflated price, perhaps you should consider putting that into a Samsung DLP television.  For the same price you’ll get a quality TV, and will be able to squeeze out a larger size.

DLP technology is remarkable, as it uses the Texas Instruments developed micro mirror technology to produce a crisp, high definition picture projected to your screen.  Through the use of thousands of tiny mirrors, a DLP projects light through a color wheel that then runs through a projector lamp.  The result is a fantastic picture that fills your screen with true high definition, at a fraction of the price of a flat panel.

This makes a Samsung DLP television set ideal for a home theater, as you can find very large models at extremely affordable prices.  You can find massive Samsung DLPs available for very low prices relating to size, at a variety of sources.  Retailers like Best Buy, or Sears have a wide variety, but a great place to shop for bargains is the internet.  Websites like Amazon.com have fantastic options available, and you could end up getting a Samsung TV as big as 70 inches or larger for less than $2,000.  That’s unheard of from a flat panel, and you still receive great high definition viewing quality, for that price. Pay attention to whether it’s a Samsung 720p or a Samsung 1080p, as the 1080p TVs will offer a higher picture quality.

The lower price is usually in direct relation to the fact that Samsung has discontinued manufacturing any new DLP sets.  But don’t let that deter you, as there are a variety of care precautions you can take, to ensure that your TV lasts for years, so you can really make the most of that lower price.  A Samsung DLP screen will require regular cleaning, so that you can maintain optimum picture quality.  The screen should be cleaned at least once a week with any standard glass surface cleaner.  But be careful about spraying the cleaner directly on the screen as that could cause liquid to seep into the television which could cause damage.  Instead apply the cleaner directly to a rag, and wipe away any dust or dirt.

Also over time, the projection bulbs in Samsung DLP televisions are going to start to fade.  That means compromising picture quality.  So, to extend the life of your television, changing the bulb once this happens is essential. You can either have the bulb installed professionally, or install the bulb yourself.  There are a wide variety of Samsung DLP bulbs available online, and typically they will cost $100 to $200 depending upon brand.  But it’s worth the investment, so that your Samsung DLP televisionshave  a long life.  That way you’ll have a quality Samsung TV, at a lower price, that lasts for a very long time.
